Other Study Programs
In our journey together towards holiness, we have encountered a number of other means to “spiritual refinement”, and so we recommend them as well.  Whatever you end up doing, we encourage you to meet periodically with your groups for accountability and strength.

  • Be a Man! Becoming the Man God Created You to Be
Father Larry Richards, founder of The Reason For Our Hope Foundation, draws on his many years of ministry to help men rediscover a masculine spiritual identity. Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach to the Christian life, Father Richards is able to speak to men of many backgrounds.

The Series comes in a DVD or CD format.  Because many of the talks are about 45 minutes long, we recommend listening to half of a talk one week and finishing up the following week to provide adequate time for discussion.  Feel free to use our guide for convenient break points to stop and resume the videos each week.  document Be a Man Session Breaks (36 KB)

  • Seven Deadly Sins, Seven Lively Virtues
Join Bishop Robert Barron for this engaging presentation concerning the seven deadly sins- the spiritual blocks that inhibit our relationship with God and one another- and the corresponding "lively" virtues that counteract these sins and set us on the path to happiness.

  • Into the Breach
"And I sought for a man among them who should build up the wall and stand in the breach before me for the land..." - Ezekiel 22:30

While not a study program on its own, this excellent exhortation by Bishop Thomas Olmsted of Phoenix is fitting for either individual reading or group study.  Based on Biblical examples of manhood, Bishop Olmsted helps Catholic Men everywhere see their vital role in the world and exhorts us to answer the call to battle.  This letter fits the mission of Kapaun's Men perfectly!
